I am Zoey Francis and my profession as a software engineer takes me to different places. Planning a trip can sometimes be a difficult task. Months before I start searching clear and budgeted
ideas to ensure a worthy itinerary. Even this time I went through the same process of filtering the airlines, hotels and places to visit in Tokyo for a client meeting! It was a long process, but the research was really fruitful.
My day started with boarding on a plane from Kempegowda International Airport
Bangalore. The moment I entered the door, a beautiful lady greeted me with a big smile. She also helped me with my seat number and to put my luggage on side-racks. I had already requested
while taking the boarding-pass to provide me a window seat. Although you don’t get to see much, but it’s always good to see the wandering clouds.
The seats were fitted with a footrest that could relieve pressure on your calf muscle for a comfortable twelve hour journey. The in-flight services of SriLankan Airlines could set an example to most of the Airlines. Ranging from Diabetic to Kosher and Hindu vegetarian to Muslim non-vegetarian, the airline had all kinds of categorized meals in their in-flight menu. To avail my desired food, I had already ordered one meal on the same online-booking platform providing flight and hotel deals for Tokyo.
Of course, the journey couldn’t be spent by just sleeping. So, I plugged in my headphones to watch a movie. The display could also entertain you with inbuilt services of TV, radio and video
games. What I liked the most about the display was its ability to show the distance above ground, the weather, the route and many more. That was the first time I got to know that the temperature
outside the flight is sheer cold, cold up to negative fifty degrees. I was really amazed at the warm ambience of the flight.
The flight landed in Tokyo after a day’s journey and exquisite in-flight experience. As I stepped out of the flight, due to the misty weather and cold breeze, I could feel that Tokyo’s
weather has welcomed me.
